Sterling-Silver, Brass & Pewter

Our Silver:  Antique Sterling-Silver:  Is a wonderful mild two-tone finish that the Fire Goddess has discovered.  Antique Sterling-Silver:  The Fire Goddess silver is sterling-silver  (.925) finish that has been slightly oxidized to a specific two tone look.  Out silver is electro-rack plated onto our jewelry quality pewter. The silver ox is a special treatment achieved to electro-rack plating that allows for a much more durable and long lasting antique look.
Beautiful appearance that brings out the detail in every design the Fire Goddess makes.  It is sterling-silver; treat and clean the same as you do all your silver.

Rhodium: is a diamond-hard metal finish that is great for jewelry because it does not tarnish or turn the way sterling silver will. This is a No maintenance metal.  (Fire Goddess currently does not do any products in the Rhodium do to the explosive rise in the cost of the metal)

Jewelry Pewter: Our jewelry-grade pewter (available only from Fire Goddess) is made in America, has a pure jewelry quality and is considered to be a low maintenance metal.
What is the Fire Goddess Solid Jewelry Pewter:  Our pewter,  like all our metal,  contains no additional lead or added nickel that the trash talk German silver you hear about today.  German is almost 85% nickel and will eat the skin off a buffalo!  Fire Goddess pewter is an alloy mix of the following metals:  Tin, Antimony, Bismuth, Copper (trace)  Silver (trace). Our Jewelry pewter contains NO LEAD AND added or surface NICKEL!!!
How do I clean Fire Goddess Pewter?: 
First off you CANNOT use typical silver and gold cleaners.  All your traditional metal cleaners, to include the sunshine cloth, have acids or Ammonia used to clean your metals. 
Pewter does not react well with acids or Ammonia.  You must use either Hagarty's Pewter wash or another special cleaning paste designed for jewelry quality pewter.  Hagarty's is the best and what the Fire Goddess
Recommends.  You can also tumble your pewter pieces from Fire Goddess is a tumbler.
What is Rhodium? Rhodium is an extremely hard metal that is perfect for finishing and perfect as a durable final layer on any metal. Rhodium is the preferred finish of jewelers and customers when they want a  finish superior to that of sterling silver. Our rhodium jewelry is individually racked and electro-plated for long-lasting durability. Electro-plating is the finest plating process available in the world and insures our embellishments will not loose their look or their finish. Another advantage to the durable rhodium finish is low maintenance; no turning and no tarnishing. (Unfortunately-these days as precious metal prices rise almost all metal alloys like sterling silver, rhodium, platinum, brass, and even some jewelry grade copper have trace amounts of nickel in the mix).

(Even with all our work to find and use the best jewelry quality metals there will always be a limited number of individuals with an unusual body chemstiry that will turn, blacken, and even eat the finish off of any jewelry piece.  We have seen this result on 24kt Gold, fine silver, sterling and pewter.
