However if I do not accurately explain what I do someone else will do it for me.
I am a visual artist. You see, feel, and touch what I create. You wear my art-on your wrist, around your neck, or comfortably over a finger. My wearable jewelry art is soulful, funky, free-spirited, and fun to wear. The greatest comment I receive from my clients is:
“I cannot take it off, it is now a part of me.”
My first recall of taking metal scrapes, wire and loose findings and turning into something colorful to wear was as a young child. My dad provided the wire, my imagination did the rest. My imagination was built on a summer trip with the family and a chance contact with Native American art and culture.
At 17 years of age in High school I learn more about creations. I chipped, hone, and polished stones of jade into fitted gems that would lay into a silver bezel. I learn to cast in wax, to grind, to buff, and bend raw materials into a finished vision I could see in the back of my mind, at the center of my eye, at the end of my fingers. Always with a smile, a laugh, a grin, I made sure the art was fun, wearable and mine. I am now in my 50’s. I have been designing jewelry and embellishments as my profession for 15 years. Glass sculpting, wire work, casting, model making, designing. My portfolio displays over 300 individual separate embellishments and jewelry creations. I have one of the longest continuously running jewelry websites with a dozen categories and scores of pages of content. My site (this site) receives over 60,000 unique views a month. On a good year my website will receive over 1 million visits. I deliver my designs to shows where I exhibit in nine different states and 16 different cities, appearing 40 times a year. My traveling store is visited by thousands each month and over 40,000 each year. My creations are in 41 countries & US territories and worn by many hundreds abroad and by several thousand here in the US and Canada.
I’m professionally managed by my partner and husband whose work frees me to remain creative and passionate about the next new design. It is his work and his hard efforts and focus that made it possible for me to be discovered by other Artists, Jewelry Designers, businesses, fund raising efforts, and most importantly YOU!
